The deadline to apply for grants under the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) fund has been extended to 31st May 2018. Significant support is available for rural businesses across three strands: Business Development, Food Processing & Rural Tourism Infrastructure.
So what does all this mean for your business or your clients’ businesses?
Business Development – rural businesses in the Leeds City Region LEP area can apply for support when they are investing in new machinery or equipment and/or constructing or improving buildings. It is also available to farmers seeking to diversify into non-agricultural activities.
Food Processing – rural businesses across Leeds City Region LEP & York, North Yorkshire & East Riding LEP who operate in the food & drink processing sector can apply for grants from £35,000 upwards when they are investing in their business. There are numerous potential development needs that fit within the eligibility criteria so please get in touch with us for more information.
Rural Tourism Infrastructure – available to businesses in both LEP areas when they are planning on investing in new or existing buildings to provide a tourism based offer. This includes businesses such as farming that are seeking to diversify.
Our role is to help you and/or your clients to make the most of these opportunities and we provide free support to enable you to do so.
